We don't have a hail pad, but the hail covered the ground completely to a depth of 1/2 inch. Hailfall was accompanied by rain and lightning, but seemed like more hail than rain. Light rain continued about 10 more minutes after the hail stopped. Some hail probably bounced out of the funnel of the rain gauge. |
