Initial hail 1/2" - 1", decreasing to about 3/8" after four minutes.Hail appeared soft, shattered upon impact, and melted almost immediately. Wind from NE, estimate steady 25-30 kts, gusts to 40kts.In seven minutes transitioned to mostly light rain. Intermittent raincontinues (7:20 p.m.). Total ppt in gauge 0.01" at 7:00 p.m.. Hail too widely scattered to do significant damage to vegetation. |
