At 11:40am, there was heavy rain that was falling due to a thunderstorm that had contained lightning and hail that had passed over the area. There was around 2 minutes of bouncy graupel embedded in the heavy rain that was spotted bouncing all over the deck and bouncing off of the sliding glass door. There was more rain than ice and this ice had split into pieces when it hit the deck and it had melted within seconds, so no sample of graupel was salvaged. Only a trace of graupel had accumulated on the ground. |
