This hail was embedded in the rain and I was not outside when it was landing so I don't know the time. The indentations are rather sharp, so I am assuming that the hail was hard. The most likely suspect was a thunderhead that drifted by at about 12:40. Heaviest RA events were: 1108-1257, Amt:0.58" MaxRate:2.16"/hr and 1614-1624, Amt:0.12" MaxRate:2.72"/hr. Amts from CoCoRaHS gauge, Rates from Davis tipping rain gauge. |
