 Snowfall core sample is a mix of a little snow, mostly sleet and freezing rain. The core SWE and gauge catch were almost identical! There is a crust on top of the sleet of .3" that is composed of sleet and freezing rain. I can mostly walk on top of the crust, with my foot breaking through sometimes. My Outback broke through the crust but struggled a little with lots of sleet, even in X mode.
