 Mostly cloudy. Temperature 12. Dewpoint 8. Humidity 86%. Barometer 30.53 and falling. Light NW wind. Intermittent light snow flurries late yesterday afternoon. I updated the snowpack SWE using a sample taken with my 2 inch ABS snow core tube. The snowpack includes a couple layers of ice sandwiched between loose snow and I believe the core tube provides a better sample than using the gauge. Gauge core measurement was 1.60 inches using a conversion factor of 0.00498 in/g. The core tube measurement was 1.97 inches using a conversion factor of 0.0197 in/g. Future measurements will use the core tube.
