Condition Monitoring Report
Station Number: NC-WK-185
Station Name: Morrisville 1.5 SSW
Report Date: 1/22/2021
Submitted: 1/22/2021 1:29 PM
Scale Bar: Mildly Wet
Description:
Going into the weekend, most of the puddles noted on the last report are dry. However, puddles remain on property that would normally expected to be dry. This morning one shallow puddle on the edge of the complex was characterized by clear water with surface temperature of 46F, air Fi02 20.9%, snails grazing on submerged and floating brown fallen leaves. 20 minutes later at another puddle on the other edge of the property nearer the stream valley and different elevation 0.13 NM along the north-south axis clear water was surface temperature 42 F, air Fi02 20.3%, & dark green filamentous algae strands teeming with microscopic single cell organisms darting among the algae strands with fallen pine needles in the surroundings. At home between these two puddles a 2.5 liter sample of tap water was 53F and 0 ppm ammonia which transitioned to > 6 ppm ammonia after adding 5 ml household ammonia to the bucket. The ammonia test strips were noted to have an expiration date of December 2020 so were therefore disposed of and will be replenished prior to making another ammonia report. Indoor residential water pressure was measured at 30 PSI yesterday morning.
