Condition Monitoring Report
Station Number: MA-BA-2
Station Name: Falmouth 3.1 NNW
Report Date: 11/22/2020
Submitted: 11/22/2020 8:14 AM
Scale Bar: Mildly Dry
Description:
Looking outside and walking through the woods I feel a disconnect between the lack of rain contrasted with what I observe and expect for this time of year. Ponds are definitely low, and dropped slightly this week. However my grass is green and grew a bit this week. I have not seen deer ticks all summer until the past 2 weeks when two managed to burrow into my leg. I saw a mosquito yesterday for the first time in months. Perhaps the 0.22" of rain 6 days ago activated them...perhaps it is the unseasonable warmth...or both. So what condition level is it out there? Moderate based on the rain deficit, or Mild based on what I see? I'll go with what I see.
