Condition Monitoring Report
Station Number: MI-AN-25
Station Name: Plainwell 0.5 WSW
Report Date: 10/18/2020
Submitted: 10/19/2020 4:31 PM
Scale Bar: Mildly Dry
Description:
Though we had 0.54" of rain this week, our conditions are hoovering between near normal and mildly dry because we've only had 0.56" the past 2 weeks, which is considerably lower than our PRISM 30-year average. Lawns are still green but not growing much. Temperatures were seasonably cool with daily low temperatures averaging 43 F (daily lows ranged from 31 to 54 F); and daily highs averaging 60 F (daily highs ranged from 51 to 68 F). We had our first frosts of the season on 10/16 and 10/17. Tree fall colors are peaking and leaves are falling rapidly in breezy weather. Hopefully Mosquitoes were knocked back by this week's frosty mornings and consequently mosquito-borne eastern equine encephalitis (EEE) will go down in western Michigan.
