Condition Monitoring Report
Station Number: MA-MD-47
Station Name: West Townsend 0.5 W
Report Date: 9/16/2020
Submitted: 9/16/2020 12:52 PM
Scale Bar: Mildly Dry
Despite just .59" of rain since the first of September the summer heat has abated, the sun angle is noticeably lower and things remain mostly green. Daytime temps in the 70's and cool nights have slowed down our koi and our tortoises. Over the summer the chelonians were eating two heads of romaine lettuce a day, they are down to less than one. Visitors of note include newly foaled deer, extraordinary nuthatch activity, a rafter of turkeys and barred owls waking us at night. Virtually no leaf color change yet. Our one acre swamp is very low but there is standing water in the center. In bloom are hybiscus, clematis, bee balm and black eyed susans.
