Station Number: MN-PN-17
Station Name: Brook Park 3.9 S
Report Date: 5/25/2019
Submitted: 5/25/2019 9:34 AM
Scale Bar: Moderately Wet
Description:
Low areas of the lawn are downright soggy, the rest is very moist; too wet to mow. Some ditches have standing water and a few small stream beds/creeks have water over their banks, flooding surrounding land. Oaks are leafing out; fruit trees still slow to leaf. Several weeds blooming, mainly dandelions and winter cress. Baltimore orioles still here along with the rose breasted grosbeaks, doves and increased robins. The same number of blue jays, red winged blackbirds and grackles seen along with finches and chickadees. Seem to be seeing less pileated woodpeckers, although the other types are still here. Didn't see any cardinals this week, either. Chorus frogs heard in pond. Occasional lone turkey and deer seen.
