Station Name: Copper Canyon 1.1 SW
Report Date: 9/24/2018
Submitted: 9/24/2018 7:48 AM
Scale Bar: Moderately Wet
Description:
We have had so much rain in the last 3 days - 8.26" over 3 days with 6.78 of that reported Saturday morning the 22nd. Currently there is standing water in most of the pastures, running water in the borrow ditches along the roadways, one local road washed out (no report yet on whether the road base was damaged or whether it is just the pavement washing off. Most of the vegetation is very green which is unusual for this time of year. Trees and shrubs look healthy and neighborhood ponds are full and overflowing. Lakes look full and streams are running turbid. Currently there are no burn bans in the area save one county that has enacted a permanent ban on open burning without a special permit (Wise county).
