Grass and foliage are growing rapidly. No shortage of forage for area fauna. Grass is requiring mowing twice per week. Air quality due to Saharan dust is moderate at times. However, quality does improve after precipitation clears the air. Otherwise, high humidity and high air temperatures make for uncomfortable "feels like" conditions/temperatures. Energy usage is up due to heat and humidity. Power lines are humming with usage. Our area "Splashpad" is getting plenty of use between precipitation events. The latest precip event included some light to moderate cloud-to-ground and cloud-to-cloud lightning averaging 5 events/hr. over the immediate area of the storm cell, although short-lived as the storm rained out. Observed the 2nd rainbow of the season so far as cells moved to the NE as the sun set.
