Cool to start last Sunday with a high of 64° and temperatures warming afterwards into the 80's before cooling down a bit to 78° on Saturday. The high of the week and warmest temperature this year, so far, was 83° on Thursday. Lows were mostly in the 40's though there were a couple of days in the 30's with a low of 32° on Tuesday. It was breezy on some days earlier in the week with winds picking up at the end of the week. No precipitation fell last week. The grasses and plants in the open areas are starting to brown some. In the garden, the rhododendron and the iris's are starting to bloom. The garden is starting to have the look of summertime. A lot of different kinds of birds are frequenting the garden and using the bird bath a lot. Saw a frog and garter snake in the pond.
