4.67” in the preceding week, and that’s taken a chunk out of the deficit! MTD May accumulations stand at 6.60”, (187% of PRISM average). Still way behind on the water year; we’re only at 77% of average. But that’s an improvement. The first ~two inches of the storm came in a long slow soak, which was needed. Rainfall absorbed into the ground fairly quickly, however – most of the “tell” spots on the bog were dry by Saturday. Vegetation is lush everywhere. Pond level remains elevated after the storm. Wildlife activity is normal; the surviving cygnet and adult swan are still around.
