Rain that just came way to much and way too fast in a short period.  During the late eve of 05/19/2025 we had a storm pass through.  Within a 45 minute period we had received nearly 3 inches of rain.  We and the surrounding area had any where from just over 2 inches in the north to just over 4 and some reports of 5 inches to the south.   Way too much all at once of which most of it was run off.Yeah it helped greatly on level to slightly sloping areas but any greater sloping areas it ran off and didn't penetrate deeply.  We probed with a 4 ft rod and can push it in on level locations with not much resistance but as soon as we get at the top of a break from level to sloping landscape we can only push the rod in maybe 12 inches or so then hit dry hard soil.
