Another inch of rain this week has kept everything green and with moderate growth. Trees are leafing out nicely and the lawn and pasture are growing but with less than their usual springtime vigor. Crops are planted and beans are just cracking the surface. Creeks are up and river has reached moderate heights but still well below normal springtime high levels. Ground is soft near the surface but there still does not appear to be much deep level moisture, at least we seem to absorb what rain we get with ease.
