The front part of last week started off with a good shot of rain. This station had a total of 1.23" for the week.  Rest of the week was sunny and dry.  Still at 76% of normal for the month for precipitation and right at 80% for YTD and Water YTD.  Even with the rain, the area still seems dry.  Farmers are working the fields, some planting, some spraying and tilling.  When they are going through the fields they are still kicking up a cloud of dry dirt.  Grass has started to grow thick and lush, and most trees have already leafed out.  The Rock and Green Rivers are holding steady, while the Mississippi River is steadily rising, thanks to rainfall to the north and west. It is expected to reach near Action Stage for flooding in Rock Island by Thursday.
