We have had Near Normal conditions this week with 0.11" of precipitation falling over 3 days as rain (storms coming through seem to just brush us to the North or South). About half the days this week had seasonal average high temperatures in the 60's (F); and the other 3 days had above seasonal average temperatures, getting as high as 85F on Thursday (4/24/2025). Daffodils, hyacinths, tulips, vinca, phlox, bleeding hearts, lilacs, azaleas, forsythias, red bud trees magnolia trees, and fruit trees are blooming. The lawn grass, moss, and many lawn weeds are growing fast enough to require mowing. Many trees and bushes are in early leaf stage, except oaks, black walnuts, catalpa, and sycamores are only in very early bud stage.
