This station received just .09” in the previous week (not counting today’s catch). In total, month-to-date, this station stands at 3.90”, which falls a bit shy of PRISM average (4.39”), and the forecast doesn’t suggest we’ll make up the difference. Even so, that’s a lot closer to an average catch than we’ve seen for much of the water year – which to date shows a total catch of only 65% of average. In recognition of that, Falmouth recently announced that water restrictions are in place (presumably as people jumpstart lawns and the snowbirds return). Totals notwithstanding, conditions are fairly normal for April – moist soils, robust vegetation growth. Wildlife activity and pond levels are normal.
