A warm week as temps averaged nearly six degrees above normal. Around an inch of rain in less than an hour Thursday night along with half inch hail was quite helpful in improving soil moisture. This location was quite lucky to get that since it was a single storm. Otherwise, field planting was underway nearly everywhere we traveled. Honeysuckle has leafed out with silver maples getting there. Buds on other trees are expanding. Waterfowl traffic has slowed.
