A windy and mild week with high temperatures starting off in the 70's. High temperatures dropped into the 60's on Thursday with the approach of a storm that arrived on Friday with a little snow in the morning before the main moisture arrived Friday night with 5.5 inches of snow and .63 inches of liquid equivalent falling of much needed moisture. A brief snow shower on Saturday but most of the snow melted during the day. This was the total moisture for the week. The high of the week was 73° on Sunday, Monday, and Wednesday. The low of the week was 30° on Saturday. No change in plant life in the surrounding areas and the redbud and forsythia continue to bloom with the crabapple now starting to bloom. Harvesting a lot of asparagus now. Saw the first garter snake and frog this year and both were in the pond. Birds are very active and building nests.
