General: The 25 year long-term (uncalibrated) average for this site is 104.22" of snow, and we are now at 118.73. This is really good news. I spoke to my neighbor who does dryland farming and we are in good shape for spring crops.
Agriculture: We're looking good for soil moisture
Energy: Our solar panels are creating more energy than we consume: Yesterday, produced 53.28 kWHR, used 46.40. The system was sized for 98% capacity, but that was before we converted to heat pumps. Yesterday was partly cloudy.
Fire: Risk is low, since there's a lot of standing water and snow on the ground yet.
Plants/wildlife: The Sandhill Cranes are back, looking for nesting spots...always a welcome harbinger of spring. We are seeing ducks on ponds, which are starting to show open water.
Water: We're looking good, based on the last 25 years.
