Scale Bar: Near Normal
Description:
For week of 24-30 Nov: (32.7+ 0+ 0.4+ 0.6+ 1.0+ 19.2+ 0)= 53.9mm Near Normal. High's: +6C to +9C; Low's: +5C to -1C; Wind: Brisk wind to 36km/hr to calm; Frost: light. One AM had frozen dew topped with frost. Everything has been quiet under mostly overcast conditions. After 2 wks of overcast, we have had a couple of days of sunny breaks, along with a very cold wind. This past week was wet, and we needed every drop of that rain to help decrease our water table deficit, after a full month of no rain. Between last week and this week, we received 78.8mm of rain. And with mild temps, it all soaked into the ground. Now, we do need a bit of snow. I have yet to actually see or hear a flight of Geese overhead. Surely they must be gone by now. The deer are plentiful. There were 4 young ones scampering near the main road here, and a driver, going slowly, nicked one as it jumped onto the road. The deer scrambled to its feet and ran into the woods. The driver was startled. This is what young deer do. Be aware. On the people side--its that black Friday thing. Outdoor activities such as walking, cycling are options in absence of snow. Our neighbour keeps the basketball net up all yr round. Happy dunking!
