Station Name: Show Low 4.2 S
Report Date: 9/25/2022
Submitted: 9/25/2022 7:33 AM
Scale Bar: Mildly Dry
Description:
Monsoon moisture returned with some rain mid week and even heavy rain in the area but not as much at this location. Some rain fell each day starting Tuesday and continuing through Friday. A total of .50 inches fell for the week. High temperatures for the week were in the mid 70's to low 80's. The high of the week was 82° on Monday. The low of the week was 47° last Sunday. Signs of fall are here with some maples in the neighborhood starting to turn red as well as the burning bushes continuing to turn completely red. The surrounding open areas, with grasses and plants, are turning brown but think this is do to the plants maturing and the season. It isn't due to dryness. At least some of the tadpoles in the pond have completed their metamorphosis and have been seen with their heads sticking out of the water. There is also a lot of Rosey-Red Minnows in the pond from all the spawning this summer.
