This week's precipitation was just 0.03 inch of sleet early in the week. Mostly cold temperatures with wind chill warnings twice this week. Local utility asked homes and businesses to lower their thermostats given the energy usage and cost. Only a small amount of snow presently covering the yard. Birds and squirrels remain active, but mainly in the mornings and late afternoons on the coldest days. A cooper's hawk was sighted one day this week which is not as typical as the red-tailed hawks in our neighborhood.
