4.5" of fluffy snow has fallen at location since 1430 yesterday. 1.8" has fallen since my last report. Drifting has taken place so am average was taken from several different points at ground level where adequate measuring conditions were available. Residential streets are still untreated. Family member who was traveling around 2300 said that main roads in the area were in poor shape between downtown Detroit, and Roseville. Gauge catch and SWE will be calculated in the morning. A 0.04" glaze of icy precipitation was also observed using a digital caliper gauge to measure icong on a round horizontal fence post. Did hear a snow plow earlier, sounded like it was on a main road outside of the subdivision. |
