WHEN THUNDER ROARS, GO INDOORS!

Each year many folks are struck and killed by lightning. The National Weather Service says that on average 62 people are killed by lightning each year.  I'm sure that many of our CoCoRaHS Volunteers have their own stories of close calls with lightning or know someone who has. There are many prudent things we can do to reduce our risk and NOAA's lightning safety campaign "When Thunder Roars, Go Indoors" describes many of them.
