App Installation Guide The new CoCoRaHS App is available as a website or from an App store. See below for details or view the FAQ and User Guide page for more. When setting out to build a new CoCoRaHS mobile app, we wanted to support as many observers as possible and as wide a range of devices as possible. For this reason observers have a number of options for how they would like to use the app. Aside from a few small differences, the user experience is essentially the same regardless of your preferred installation method. What about the old apps? The legacy mobile apps have not been under active development for some time. We plan to continue to support them as long as possible, but changing requirements from the app stores and iOS and Android operating systems may render the apps obsolete. Our goal is continually improve the new app so that all legacy app users move over voluntarily before they stop working for reasons beyond our control. The new app already supports many observation types and features the legacy versions do not. To learn more about the new app and why it was built, go to the app release blog post. Option 1: Use in a Browser Why choose to use a browser? - The easiest way to start using the CoCoRaHS app is to simply go to mobile.cocorahs.org in any desktop or mobile browser

Option 2: Save to Home Screen Why choose to save the website to your home screen on your device? - You want an app icon to access the app quickly and easily
- The app will open in full screen mode and will look and feel like a native app
- The app will display using the font size the browser is set to for the site
- You have multiple accounts and want separate app icons for the different logins. Note, you can have multiple stations associated with a single CoCoRaHS account, however some people prefer to keep them separate.
