This week I received 2.39" of rain spread over 3days, which allowed some of the rain to soak in. My pond is up 2+" into the overflow pipe and our creek across the road is also up, but easily handling the local runoff. This is very normal for April but I have still moved my condition to Mildly Wet. With a few days left in April my station is 1.2" over our monthly average and more rain is expected. My lawns are wet, and soft but not overly squishy. Some of the farm fields have limited standing water areas but are not flooded. No farm field work will be possible for several days however, and Working in my garden is not possible either. We have had another wood duck hatch on the pond this week and mother goose should hatch her eggs any day now.
