General: This is about normal moisture for this time of year. The mud season is drawing to a close.
Agriculture: Our normal moisture bodes well for crops. Spring is earlier by a couple of weeks, based on birds returning. Soil moisture is 50% at 3".
Fire: Low risk right now because it is still pretty cool (35 degrees F right now)
Plants/wildlife: We have frogs! That is such a treat, because it's been quite a while since we've heard them. We also saw a terrestrial garter snake (adult size). Magpies are nesting about 2 weeks early relative to prior years.
Water: Our snowpack is pretty much average this year, so we should be in pretty good shape downstream. The Portneuf River is still flooding.
