Condition Monitoring Report
Station Number: KY-CB-10
Station Name: Wilder 0.2 ESE
Report Date: 5/4/2024
Submitted: 5/04/2024 11:26 AM
Scale Bar: Moderately Wet
Description:
The rainfall has been considerably above normal for both April and for May so far. The ground is becoming super saturated. The grass is very wet and soggy. Both me and my neighbor had several lawn mower jams yesterday when cutting our yards. The 1.15" of heavy rain so far this morning is making conditions even more soggy. The leaves on the trees are already full-size in late spring so far. The grass is growing so fast that it requires cutting every 4 days. Spring 2024 has been warm and very wet so far. The cicadas are starting to appear and are beginning to become numerous due to the higher than normal temperatures and heavy rains. The 4" soil temperature has already reached 70 degrees Fahrenheit during the past 3 days.
