Condition Monitoring Report
Station Number: IL-BN-19
Station Name: Belvidere 5.0 NNW
Report Date: 5/4/2024
Submitted: 5/08/2024 6:43 AM
Scale Bar: Near Normal
Description:
A total of 0.68” of precip was received over the last week, spread out fairly evenly over 3 separate days. While soaking rains once again skirted this area we fortunately managed to maintain our near normal soil condition. My spring is still flowing about the same as last week, so deep soil moisture must be adequate. Area waterways also remain about the same, near their normal levels, with the bigger and further west Rock River still on the high side. The trees and understory have really greened up over the last few days and are nearing their maximum potential. I’ve noticed more bird activity lately with one Bluebird house now occupied by a Purple Finch and one with an actual Bluebird. Geese have families now and for some reason too many like to cross roads. I guess they just have to get to the other side.
