With just a half inch this week, and that was last Sunday, and only 1.11 this month, we are beginning to dry out. But with 16.28" this calendar year, a couple inches above "normal", we are fine long term. the top layer of newly cultivated soil is drying quickly, meaning newly planted seeds/sedlings have needed water. With no rain and high temps predicted for the next several days we could venture into "mildly dry."
A side note, on April 26 we began witnessing the appearance of 13 year periodic cicadas. With new ones each day since.
