Station Number: PA-BR-2
Station Name: Reading 3.5 SW
Report Date: 4/28/2024
Submitted: 4/28/2024 12:02 PM
Scale Bar: Near Normal
Description:
Three weeks of low rainfall allowed top soils to become too dry. The 0.06" this week did not come till after noon Saturday. April total of 4.83 is above the whole-month normal of 4.15. Yearly and last-366-day running totals of 19.88 and 64.46" respectively are still well above 1991-2020 30-year averages. Therefore, deep moisture continues adequate. Lawn grasses have been doing well despite recent dryness. Deciduous leaf emergence is well enough advanced so that green has been the dominant color of hillsides this week.
