This report is for the month of November 2020. The month has ended with almost 2 inches below average precipitation. I recorded just 1.92 inches of rain. The monthly average is 3.66 inches. This is quite different from November 2019, which had over 2.00 inches above normal. The total number of days with precipitation for the month was 7. The most rain recorded for a 24 hr period was 1.08 inches which occurred on the 11th. We had 0.5 inches of snow on the last day of the month. The average temperature for November 2020 was warmer than November 2019. The average high was 62°F for 2020 compared to 52°F for 2019 and the average low was 40°F, compared to 36°F for November 2019. The highest temperature for the month at this location was 77°F. The lowest temperature for the month was 25°F. The warmer weather allowed most farmers to delay feeding hay. The grass in the yard grew some during the month and in fact could be mowed again, but that’s not going to happen. Usually see a Great Blue Herron hanging around the farm pond in November, but haven’t seen one yet.
