Still dry, but with an almost 2" rain a week ago, and another .29" this past week, ground moisture has improved. The squirrels are still digging holes to bury nuts and the top soil is dry-may be a hard winter if the squirrels are any indication, there are a lot of nuts being buried. Crops directly around us are probably a few weeks from harvest, in other areas of McLean County, harvest has begun on some corn fields-beans won't be far behind.
