Drought conditions have considerably worsened due to only 0.03” of rainfall this week and temperatures in the mid 90s. In the last 30 days we’ve had about 2.94” of rainfall with most of it occurring in early September. Soil moisture is very dry and vegetation is suffering. Tree leaves are turning brown and falling and most grass is brown especially in the afternoons. Streams and ponds levels are dropping fast and we’ll probably be in a burn ban soon if not already due to wildfire danger.
