From the NWS for our area..."Expect some heavy rain with Tuesday's front- which could cause localized flooding! Winds behind a cold front late Tuesday afternoon into Tuesday night could gust to 50 mph!!!! A wind advisory possible! The higher elevations of WV. into NW N.C. could see an inch of snow Tuesday night!" Today in Lewisburg, WV @ Greenbrier valley medical center @ 8:30 am...saw a small wedge of geese flying overhead. Also- the dogwood trees are in full bloom. Along RT. 219...a few cherry trees in a beautiful purple/pink! Current conditions in Rainelle, WV. @ 12:23 PM...precip was Trace! 57F, overcast. Wind: S @ 5 mph! A blood moon is showing in the eastern skies tonight @ 12:54 AM...unfortunately, over-cast skies tonight make that viewing a no go situation. :( Our abbreviated 3 day forecast...Over-night...slight chance for thunderstorms. lo: 46F. Wind S @ 10 mph! Tuesday...100% chance for heavy rain! SW wind @ 8 to 18 mph with gusts up to 30 mph! Hi: 52F. Tuesday night...70% chance for rain/snow. lo: 22F.NW wind @ 8 to 17 mph gusting to 28 mph! Wednesday...Sunny!!!! Hi: 53F. North wind @ 6 to 9 mph, becoming East in the afternoon.
