Notes
A daily record breaking winter storm and associated moderate/HEAVY SNOW, sleet south of I-70 along I-70 east central Missouri moved north northeast across central and north sections of Missouri mid morning to afternoon 2/21/2013. Storm total snowfall amounts were increased due to few thunderstorms at Columbia 0.6 W 0900 to 1200 CST. Over south third of Missouri storm sleet and freezing rain were dominant precipitation types. Measured amounts at Columbia 0.6 W were 9.5 inches to 11.1 inches. Although most amounts were 9.5 inches to 10.5 inches, I recorded and reporting 10.3 inches due to high water equivalent, yet NO sleet was observed.
