Notes
Convection began early once again this morning. There was a dry slot attempting to make its way south which I believed would disrupt the SW flow of very deep tropical moisture. However, the SW flow has not been affected. In fact, ripples of energy came every 1/2 hr to 50 min in duration. TIA rec'd over 4" of rain which blew the old record away. And since there is no change in the SW flow aloft, I am expecting, yet 1 more day, of heavy rain. House flooding has been reported in the traditional flood prone areas & in Pinellas Cty, areas of Hudson had to be evacuated. (BTW, I have not heard much news on the drought lately.) The earliest we'll see some changes will be late Friday.
