"CoCoRaHS Data Reports Series" - June 2010
CoCoRaHS has many informative reports that you can view at home. Many of these reports are sortable with just a few clicks of a mouse.
Daily Precipitation Reports
This is a searchable list of all "Daily Precipitation Reports" for any given day or set of days. These reports can be called up by any given location down to the county level. They are searchable across the country (for nationwide report set location to "select state"), by an individual state, station number or station name. This is a great way to see who had the greatest amount of precipitation in your state or county. This database is updated as reports are filed. You can also sort each column topic by clicking on the blue header at its top.

Significant Weather Reports
This is a searchable list of any "Significant Weather Reports" for any given day. These reports include intense rain and intense snow for any given location. They are searchable across the country (for nationwide report set location to "select state"), by individual state, station number or station name. This is a great way to scan for unusual precipitation rates that have recently occurred. This database is updated on a continual basis, so if a report has just been filed within the last five minutes you can find it here. You can also search on a past date range as well.

Daily Comments Reports
This is a List of all daily reports with comments for a given day. One of the great things about the CoCoRaHS web site is that you can include comments about your daily observation when you enter your daily precipitation report each morning under observation notes. These comments are extremely useful in supplementing your data and greatly help others get a more detailed picture of what has taken place during the past 24 hours.
Here are some examples:
From South Carolina, August '09:
"Low of 61 this AM; AHHHH, a nice precursor to the Autumn season, my favorite down here."
From Maine, March '10:
"At 730AM Cloudy, T=30, Wind: Calm, Baro: 29.80"R.. Ducks return to our pond... about 5 weeks early!"
From Tennessee, May '10:
"Storm total observed at this station since early Saturday morning was 15.77 inches. W0W! Unbelievable!"
From Colorado, June '10:
"Lightning sighted off to the NE very early in the morning 4:00 am"

Station Precipitation Summary Report
This is a list of precipitation data entered into the database for a specific station for a given range of days. One to three stations may be listed. Just enter the station numbers (Ex- CO-LR-284) and the date range. This is a great way to see your totals for any given time, as well as compare them to neighboring stations.

Days with Hail Reports
This is a list of all days during a calendar year with one or more hail reports entered into the CoCoRaHS database. This is a great way to see where hail fell across the country on any given day as well as the size of the hailstones. Those with a camera icon indicate that a photo of a hail pad associated with that specific report is available for viewing on-line.
